Tim Lalonde has been in the Information Communications Technology field since 1986. A Sudbury native, he was the lead for Information Communications Technology projects for companies such as Heinz Canada, Consumers’ Distributing, Falconbridge, Manitoulin Transport, Ontario Northland, Sudbury Hydro, North Bay Hydro, Great Lakes Power, Keewadin Casinos, Rainbow School Board and ONLink. His focus has been in providing complete business solutions from the application layer to the communications layer. Tim brings extensive field experience in the private and public sectors to Architecture, Wide Area Networking, Internetworking, Wireless, Fiber Optics, Optical Storage, Records Management, Thin Client technologies, Project Management, E-commerce, E-business, Internet Security, Portals, eLearning, Learning Management Systems, application development and ICT planning. Tim's teambuilding philosophy has been the mainstay of his success in the larger and more complex projects he has developed.


While at ONTelcom, Tim personally led the design and implementation of ONLink a regional Internet Service Provider. As Manager of the Fibre Optic Network at Greater Sudbury Telecom Inc, he has participated in some of the North’s most extensive Information Technology projects. Tim was the lead for the Ontario Justice Cluster for Portals and Learning Management Systems.Some of Tim’s Justice portfolio were Emergency Management Ontario, Victim Services Division, Justice Campus and Video Remand and Bail.As a direct participant in those endeavours, Tim brings with him in-depth knowledge of the challenges faced with large-scale infrastructure projects and with the integration of leading edge business applications.From the Architecture to the end production support, Tim’s approaches are innovative and sustainable.


Tim has authored several technology papers for non-technical readers.The more extensive papers covered topics such as Portals, Opportunity Management and an aide-memoire for aboriginal band office administrators.He has also a weekly blog ( for up and coming Information Technology craftspeople.
